Assistant Attendees

Region 13 allows note takers or assistants to attend workshops and training sessions free of charge when they are attending with a registered attendee that requires special assistance or when a note taker will greatly benefit the attendee due to special circumstances.

The assistant or note taker will not be registered for the course and will not receive course credit for attendance.

This is not in lieu of a sign language interpreter for deaf or hard of hearing participants.

There will be no charge to the registrant or the district for this special circumstance.

District or registrant must notify the Customer Experience Coordinator if they intend to bring a note taker or assistant at least one week prior to the event. If registering within one week of the event, notice must be made immediately following successful registration. Email tom.gibson@esc13.txed.net to notify Region 13 of this situation.
